Christmas Day we traveled to be with family, and had a great time seeing everyone.
We tripled the paddock space that the cattle usually have, in an effort to keep them happy, full, in their designated spot and to prevent them from doing any damage.
When we returned home it was dark, so not until daylight could we see how they had kept themselves busy during our absence. They rubbed most of the bark off of every apple tree. Unlikely the trees will survive this..but we will have plenty of organic apple wood for next years cookout. We had planned to get fruit trees in the spring, and will plant them in the small paddock where the blueberries are. Away from the livestock.
