late summer day

The weather is beautiful again. Clear, comfortable and low humidity. Nights are quite cool, but still wonderful sleeping with the windows open weather. It is starting to feel like fall.

Turkeys, pigs and cattle continue to grow. Our last batch of chickens arrive on Thursday of next week, and 8-9 weeks after that we have our last batch of fresh chicken. We hope our squash plants survive the stink bugs so that we can distribute winter squash to our CSA members. And the tomatoes are still coming in like crazy! After the storm Homer managed to revive an entire cart of chicks, and new calves from Keswick Creamery look good. Here are just taken pictures of today on the farm:
