We have been growing Thanksgiving turkeys for months now. Last year they came in a bit small, so this year we started them earlier and are growing different varieties. And indeed they are growing. Their all time favorite meal is thistle..hated by all farmers because it is so difficult to get rid of, loved by turkeys because they love sharp thorns for lunch? Not certain exactly, but they devour those dreaded plants and grow like mad.
